Vision
Colombia is very close to Lukas Hohl-Jaramillo’s heart – far beyond tourism. His vision is a country where children and young people can grow up safely, have real opportunities, and shape their own future. For many years, he has been using his resources to promote a peaceful and just Colombia. One of his key concerns is to connect committed individuals with one another. People who want to get involved in social causes are brought together with meaningful and effective organizations and projects in order to promote targeted and sustainable engagement.
History
The name Lukas Hohl-Jaramillo reflects Lukas’ Colombian-Swiss roots. His mother is Colombian, while his father is Swiss but was also born and raised in Medellin. The family has had close ties to the country for generations. Colombia is not only their country of origin, but also a central part of their identity. This deep connection is reflected in his long-standing commitment: for over seven years, young people from Colombian conflict regions were welcomed in Switzerland. The aim was to show them new perspectives and open up paths away from drugs and crime. This project was developed in collaboration with the Colombian and Swiss governments.
Today, another focus is on Colombia itself: inspiring people—especially young people—to get involved in social issues and take responsibility for their community. At the same time, work is being done to further develop the image of Colombia in Switzerland: toward a country full of diversity, warmth, and prospects for the future.

A project by Colombia for Colombia
Good coffee can do more than just taste good. It can make a difference. Café Sentido packs are filled with select Arabica beans, organically grown and of the highest quality. The coffee comes from a small family business in Colombia that works with great care and traditional craftsmanship.
All proceeds go directly to social projects for children on the islands of Múcura and Santa Cruz del Islote. These are two places that face great challenges every day and have to live with very limited resources. Café Sentido combines enjoyment with responsibility – and makes a difference where it is urgently needed.
